I’m a huge Braid fan. Their album “Frame and Canvas” was on repeat in my car just about every day to and from the studio in Malibu, while we were making the new record. A few months ago, I was downtown Nashville eating out with some friends… and I got to talking to this guy Damon. Turns out Damon played drums for Braid. I almost peed my pants but I don’t think he knows it… well, he might now. Shit! Anyways, a few weeks after we met, I got a box full of vinyl shipped to my door from him and Bob Nanna, the singer of Braid. Talk about feeling bad to the bone. So thank you to Damon and Bob and thank you to Polyvinyl for releasing wonderful records for me to play on my little Michael Jackson record player. And also just for being nice people.
I love music.
